2019 Venture Sonic X awarded RV of the Year

Venture Sonic X Receiving 2020 RV Business RV of the Year Award

KZ RV’s Venture Sonic X is the 2020 RVBusiness RV of the Year, after garnering accolades throughout 2019.

Unveiled as a concept RV, the production version of Sonic X took shape within months. “With five patent-pending features, SN220RBX is ideal for avid campers looking for a wilderness retreat or urban escape,” said Aram Koltookian, KZ president. Koltookian’s team dreamed up the lofty Sonic X concept RV for the RVX Trade Show in March, but extreme consumer interest put KZ to work on the real-life sonic X, which was then showcased at Fall Open House. “There’s nothing else with the Sonic X’s total off-grid capabilities coupled with luxury and high tech features, especially under 6,000 pounds,” said Venture RV general manager Dave Boggs.

Venture SN220VRBX is powered by four solar panels, a 250-amp lithium-ion battery, GoPower! 2,000-Watt inverter and 100-amp charger. “Dry campers wanted 300 Watts, so we put in 400 Watts,” explained Koltookian. “We upgraded to a one of-a-kind, self-sanitizing filtration system that can draw water 75 feet away from a six-foot drop, through a five-micron filter, an active oxygen generator, then another micron filter removing all iron, lead and sulfur contaminants.”

The production-version Sonic X also retains high-profile, off-road features, like 15-inch off-road tires, rock guards, front and rear LED lightbars, a ‘nerf bar’ bumper system, bike racks and a vertical kayak rack. The proto’s racecar carbon fiber walls were replaced with a more practical high-gloss laminated fiberglass mounted to aluminum framing. The SN220VRBX features a driver’s side slideout and sleeps four with a queen Murphy bed and 88” x 48” U-dinette convertible bed. Clever living space includes a hidden safe for guns or fishing rods, a personal safe, and concealed SafeTek compartment with USB ports for keys, wallets and cellphones.
