Fresh Vegetable Dip
There are plenty of vegetables that taste good fresh, especially when paired with this super easy recipe for dip. GREAT for a fresh vegetable tray OR just a snack!
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
- 1 cup sour cream
Mix according to directions. Let set overnight.
Chip Dip
Need a dip for those chips, but don’t have one of those handy "instant" packets in the cupboard? Save yourself a trip to the grocery store. Here’s a fun dip that tastes great, and you can make it with supplies you already have on hand. You can even get the kids involved... mince the onions and let them measure, add and stir!
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- Minced onion
Combine ingredients and refrigerate before serving.
Enchilada Dip
When the summer temperatures are at their highest, it’s a great time to keep that stove turned off and whip up some fun in the crock pot. Here’s a flavorful dip that will be a hit with the whole family!
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 3/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 lb. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can enchilada sauce
Brown hamburger and add all other ingredients together in crock pot. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours. Serve with Tostitos chips. Serves 12 to 15.
Taco Chip Dip
Spice up your weekend with this fun “any time” dip. Flavorful and fresh, Taco Chip Dip is a breeze to throw together and enjoy with family or even when friends pop by for a visit. Hint: give your tortilla chips a freshly made taste with a quick warm up in the oven or microwave!
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. taco seasoning
- Shredded cheese
- Lettuce, chopped
Mix cream cheese, sour cream, cheese and taco seasoning together and spread in 9"x13" pan. Top with cheese. Heat until cheese is melted. Top with lettuce.
Bean Dip
This fun new recipe for bean dip is prepared in the crock pot and served with warmed tortilla chips. You won’t want to stop once you start eating. Warning: this is no ordinary bean dip... be prepared for its unusually swift disappearance.
- 1 lb. refried beans
- 1 lb. stewed tomatoes
- 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 jar taco sauce
- Tabasco sauce (to taste)
Mix all ingredients in crock pot. Serve warm with nacho chips.
Double ingredients to fill crock pot.
Shrimp Dip
Try this simple dip recipe. If you have access to fresh shrimp, even better...
- 1 can cream of shrimp soup
- (1) 8-oz. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- Dash of garlic power
- Dash of paprika
Blend well and chill!
Stuffed Deviled Eggs
Better than Grandma’s deviled eggs? (Is that allowed?) With the addition of a few extra ingredients, these deviled eggs guarantee no leftovers to pack away. Loaded with protein and a burst of flavor, these little devils will have you reaching for seconds (and thirds)!
- 12 fresh eggs
- 1 small can potted meat (deviled ham)
- 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1 small sweet pickle, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. onion juice
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
Boil and peel eggs. Cut in halves lengthwise and remove yolks to a bowl. Set whites aside. Mix egg yolks with remaining ingredients except paprika. Stuff whites with mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving time. Serves 4 to 6.
